Star Wars is of course one of the most enduring and beloved franchises in the media. With such a story, it makes sense that it contains a huge number of characters, from Luke Skywalker to those little Porgs from The Last Jedi. The LEGO Star Wars games have always contained a large roster of playable heroes and villains, but with this year’s The Skywalker Saga, it looks like TT Games takes things to the next level.
New information in the latest issue of Official PlayStation Magazine indicates that the game will contain 800 characters, of which 300 will be playable. Must be some kind of record, right? the game covers the nine main movies, so you’ll play like everyone else from Qui-Gon Jinn to Kylo Ren.
However, you won’t have to play through the saga in a set order. the game is non-linear, allowing you to complete quests in any order you choose. It’s also an open world and will feature 28 locations to find and explore. It sounds pretty huge, then.
There isn’t a firm release date yet, but the official final word is Spring 2021, so it shouldn’t be too far away. Are you excited to play LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga on PlayStation 5 and PS4? Take out those lightsabers in the comments section below.
