Kyle | January 24, 2021 It’s been a while since Blue Tongue Entertainment released De Blob 2. But now that we have some new material, I wanted to try it out on Xbox Series X to see how it works.
The short answer is, it holds up surprisingly well. The graphics won’t blow you away, but they look decent for their time. The frame rate is stable and there are many vivid colors.
I was a fan of the original De Blob when it released on Wii, so I wanted to give it a try. I got it for free as part of Xbox Live Games with the September 2020 Gold lineup. And while it’s definitely not an AAA title, it’s good family entertainment.
By the way, the game has since been ported to Nintendo Switch, PS4, and Xbox One. It is not this version. This is the Xbox 360 version running on Xbox Series X using the system’s backward compatibility feature.
