Local health officials report nearly two dozen new cases

(WSIL) – Southern Illinois Health Services are reporting 22 new cases of COVID-19 on Sunday, February 28, 2021.

Franklin County:

Women: one in their twenties, two in their forties and one in their fifties.

To date, there have been a total of 4,252 laboratory-confirmed positives in Franklin County for COVID-19, including 59 deaths. So far, 4,144 have recovered.

Jackson County:

Female: two under ten, one teenager and one in her thirties. Male: a teenager.

Health officials are monitoring 44 active cases. Jackson County has had 4,648 cases to date, with 68 related deaths. So far 4,536 people have been released from solitary confinement, including five on Sunday.

White County:

Men: 1 teenager, 1 in your twenties, 1 in your fifties.

White County had a total of 1,699 lab-confirmed positives, including 26 deaths.
