Justine Cooper has a video of her son Austin at age 3 in his play kitchen, explaining how he wants to open a restaurant where no one has to pay – one of the many ways she said he had expressed a desire to help those in need.
Now 7 years old and a freshman at Governor Winslow Elementary School, Austin recently embarked on a new project, using his talents to help the Carolina Hill shelter and those who live there.
“He’s really good at artwork and drawing, so he got the idea to sell his artwork,” Justine said. “He drew tons of different pictures, all different things. He thought about what a kid who bought it might like, he drew Minecraft stuff, princesses, Pikachu.
Austin’s sister, Leighton, 5, helped by making bracelets and drawing her own pictures.
