Marysville students are pushing the school district to more mental health resources

The district said schools have counselors for academics and drug and alcohol support, but none focus on mental health.

MARYSVILLE, Washington – A group of high school students pushes the Marysville School District to more mental health resources. They fear that as students return to class they will need academic support to help them cope with the emotional toll of the past year.

“There were definitely times when I felt like I wanted to give up,” said Kaden Vongsa, a senior at Marysville Getchell High School.
