LA CROSSE, Wisconsin (WXOW) – Mayo Clinic Health System has announced that its COVID-19 vaccination clinic is now located in the Mayo Clinic Health System staff gym.
Starting January 18, community members have the option of getting vaccinated in the organization’s staff gym, located at the corner of 11th and Ferry Street. Individuals can park in the north lot of the building and enter the clinic from Ferry Street.
According to Bradley Weber, operations administrator for the Southwestern Wisconsin region of Mayo Clinic Health System, the time had come for the organization to move to a larger location. “We’re doing this so that we can offer as many vaccinations as possible while still being physically away,” Weber said.
“It also allows us some flexibility when state and federal authorities approve next rounds of immunization, including our patients and community members listed in phases 1b and 1c, and phase 2.”
