Miranda McCall, who has held several leadership roles in the financial aid field over the past nine years, has been appointed director of Karsh’s undergraduate financial support office and assistant vice-provost, university officials said. .
McCall served as Acting Principal for several months, succeeding Alison Rabil, who had headed the office since 2008. Her appointment was announced by Jennifer Francis, Executive Vice-Provost, and Gary Bennett, Vice-Provost for Undergraduate Education. . The appointment was taken after a national search.
“Miranda has been instrumental in the success of our financial aid programs for many years,” said Bennett. “We are thrilled that she has the opportunity to lead as we work together to improve the accessibility and affordability of the Duke experience.
“As Interim Director, Miranda has shown exemplary leadership, navigating our financial assistance programs through one of the most difficult years in our history. It was especially heartwarming to see the outpouring of support for Miranda’s leadership. She has forged strong collaborative relationships across our community and many colleagues are excited to work with her in this new role.
