The Big Three video game hardware makers on Monday announced a united front to make online gaming safe for all their players.
“All gamers deserve to have great social gaming experiences in environments where respect and safety are mutual,” wrote Dave McCarthy, Microsoft’s corporate vice president for Xbox operations, on the site Xbox News Web.
“At Xbox,” he continued, “we are aligned both on Nintendo, on behalf of the Nintendo Switch gaming community, and on PlayStation in our belief that protecting gamers online requires a multidisciplinary approach – an approach that combines the advantages of advanced technology, a supportive community and skilled human supervision. “
“We can accomplish more when we work towards the same goal, so we will continue to invest, evolve and amplify our approaches to user security,” he added.
