Do you know which is the absolute worst and which happens every year? The day off after the first game of the regular season. She is such a tease. Baseball is finally coming back after a grueling offseason (more exhausting for Cubs fans than most this year I think), then POOF! He left again. And this year will be even worse.

Cubs first game of the season (at home against the Pirates) is a Thursday at 1:20 am (love it), but then they left on Friday. I love Friday afternoon baseball, but we won’t get it for three weeks in the regular season. The Cubs and Pirates are back in action on Saturday, but I’d rather they didn’t start until Friday with three straight games. Waiting another day is just better than starting and stopping. The humble opinion of one man.

Injuries and delays of the cardinals

The Cardinals are grappling with a few significant injuries this spring, most notably with starting pitcher Miles Mikolas, who missed all of 2020 after surgery to repair the flexor tendon in his right forearm and is currently struggling with a “squeaky” right shoulder. Mikolas was supposed to start a bullpen session yesterday, but he just followed suit and was eventually pushed back to Wednesday.

And now there seems to be a small gap between the technical staff and the front office on progress.
