(February 13, 2021 – GRAFTON, WV) County Health Officer Dr David Bender today announced that the Grafton-Taylor County Health Department has confirmed the twenty-first confirmed death in County of Taylor related to coronavirus disease (COVID-19) involving a 67-year-old Taylor County resident.

We send our deepest condolences to this family and out of respect to this lady’s family, no more information will be published.

The report of a reported COVID-19 death is a solemn reminder of the severity of this disease.

The Grafton-Taylor County Department of Health strongly encourages everyone to implement the measures in place for their protection. These measures include frequent hand washing, covering the face to include a mask, avoiding touching the eyes, nose and mouth, avoiding close contact, and covering coughs and sneezes.

Special measures should also be taken to protect those at increased risk of serious illness – the elderly or those with other health problems such as diabetes, cardiovascular disease, chronic lung disease, etc.
