COLUMBIA – A political expert from central Missouri has said Joe Biden must “make the most of his moment” to instill a sense of unity in the United States when he takes office on Wednesday.
According to Mitchell McKinney, director of MU’s Institute for Political Communication, Biden’s presidential inauguration comes at a time of unrest across the country.
“In these difficult times – in the circumstances we find ourselves in – is he able to assure the American public that, ‘Yes, we will win and we can get through this and there will be a better future,’” McKinney said . “I think it will be an important task for him and we will see how he is able to compose it in his post.
