Nassau School Notebook: Great Neck South wins Science Bowl

A team from Great Neck South High School took first place for the second year in a row in the Science Bowl at Long Island Regional High School.

Great Neck South faced 23 other teams in the “Jeopardy!” Style contest. Which covered subjects such as biology, mathematics and physics. It is usually held at the Brookhaven National Laboratory, but took place virtually this year due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

For winning, the team – Bradley He, Matthew Tsui, David Wang, Jansen Wong and Anthony Zhan – will virtually compete this spring in the national finals.

“I think the chemistry of our team has been a big factor in our success,” said Zhan, the team captain. “We play very well as a team and as a group of friends.”
