LAFAYETTE, La. (KLFY) – On Monday, Ochsner Health hosted a virtual media briefing to discuss the emergency use authorization for the Johnson & Johnson vaccine.
Ochsner healthcare professionals say they will continue with Moderna and Pfizer vaccinations as they receive them; and pending dispatch of Johnson and Johnson for distribution.
“If we get a J&J allocation, obviously we’ll quickly add it to the schedule of new locations to administer that as well,” said Dawn Pevey, CEO of Ochsner’s systems centers of excellence and service lines.
According to the Louisiana Department of Health (LDH), like other COVID vaccines, Johnson & Johnson is 100% effective in preventing hospitalizations and deaths.
