MATTOON – Mattoon city officials recalled that political and other yard signs are not allowed on boulevards or any other public right-of-way.

Under the ordinance, political signs are permitted in all parts of the city subject to the following provisions. Gill noted that these restrictions also apply to real estate signs, business closure signs and other construction site signs.
