Oregon Health Authority Reports 41 New COVID-19 Deaths Statewide |  New

PORTLAND, OR (KPTV) – The Oregon Health Authority reported 41 new COVID-19-related deaths statewide on Saturday, bringing the state’s death toll to 1,799 during the pandemic.

The OHA also reported 1,173 new confirmed and suspected cases of COVID-19 as of midnight 01 Saturday. There were 132,412 cases of the coronavirus in Oregon during the pandemic, with more than 2.7 million negative tests.

The deaths reported on Saturday were identified as follows: A 32-year-old man in Marion County died Dec. 30 at his home. The death certificate listed COVID-19 or SARS-CoV-2 as the cause of death or a significant condition contributing to the death. He had underlying conditions: a 47-year-old man from Washington County who tested positive on December 9 and died on January 8 at the Oregon University of Health and Sciences.
