Penn State Health’s Office of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion is hosting a virtual roundtable to discuss diversity with regards to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The public roundtable will be moderated by Lynette Chappell-Williams, vice president and director of diversity at Penn State Health, according to a press release. It will run from noon to 1 p.m. on Friday, and the Zoom registration link and other information can be found here.
Community leaders will join medical experts from Penn State Health for a discussion on how various populations have been affected by COVID-19, barriers to caring for minority patients, concerns about vaccination and how communities and organizations can promote immunization.
This roundtable is open to the public, the statement said.
The goal of the Office of Diversity and Inclusion is to work towards a collective commitment to help these populations achieve greater equity in health care.
