POPLAR GROVE, Ill. (WTVO) – Elijah and Malachi share the same school, home, and even diagnosis with Down syndrome, but they’re far from the same.
The two brothers were adopted into Erin Horton’s home as babies, and 12 years later are business partners.
“We always wanted kids to have their own businesses,” Horton said. “We thought this would be a great opportunity to learn skills that aren’t taught in a classroom.”
The boys are now co-owners of “Two Fresh Brothers”, which manufactures and sells air fresheners.
“It’s exciting to see them have something of their own and make money and put money aside,” said Horton.
