Portland Provides Free Personal Protective Equipment to Small Businesses

Thursday afternoon, businesses in the city with 30 or fewer employees will be able to receive free masks, disinfectants and disinfectants.

PORTLAND, Maine – As COVID-19 cases continue to skyrocket statewide, a community in Maine seeks to better equip small businesses in an effort to keep the community safe.

On Thursday between 1 p.m. and 3 p.m., the City of Portland will provide free personal protective equipment to small businesses in the community.

“We are trying to pass the time that they are in this huge struggle, in order to get them to the other side,” said Portland Economic Development Director Greg Mitchell.
