Qualcomm announced its Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 and Snapdragon 4 Gen 1 SoCs on Wednesday. These chipsets are designed for the mid-tier and mass volume segments respectively. The Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 is manufactured on a 4nm process and features a cryo core running at up to 2.2GHz. For image processing, the chipset features a Qualcomm Spectra Triple 12-bit ISP, capable of supporting gigapixel speed photo capture. The Snapdragon 4 Gen 1, on the other hand, will be manufactured using the 6nm process and will feature eight Kryo cores running at up to 2GHz.
It can record up to 4K video at 30 fps. Plus, deliver HDR games at 60 fps or higher. It includes the 7th generation Qualcomm AI Engine and the 3rd generation Qualcomm Sensing Hub for improved AI performance. Features like AI-based activity tracking, audio enhancement, and background noise cancellation can benefit from these extras. The Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 SoC is compatible with the Wi-Fi 6E standard and supports Bluetooth v5.2 connectivity.

It is claimed to offer up to 15% better CPU and 10% GPU performance compared to the previous Snapdragon 4 series chipset.
