PARKERSBURG, W.Va. (WTAP) – The recent Wood County Commission approval of a waiver for a video lottery business has met with opposition from people who live near where it will be built.
On Monday, residents asked the committee to reconsider the approval, which was passed last month by a 2-1 vote.
The commission will ask prosecutor Pat Lefebure if this is legally possible.
Citizens are concerned about traffic and other problems that could arise from a business located on a narrow, winding road.
