Roane State Community College Introduces Small Business Forum

Registration is required. Contact for information. Seating is limited due to social distancing restrictions. The event is at Roane State Community College’s Oak Ridge campus on Briarcliff Avenue. The event is Tuesday, Aug. 10.

Stephen Williams, director for the TSBDC office at RSCC, stated he expects a diverse group interested in developing and supporting small businesses in his service area.

The TSBDC Oak Ridge office serves Anderson, Campbell, Cumberland, Loudon, Morgan, Roane and Scott Counties, a news release stated.

“We’re all looking for creative and sustainable solutions to assist small businesses. The forum will provide a platform to highlight existing services and offer the opportunity to discuss specific issues in a panel discussion,” Williams stated in a news release. “I also want to thank our event sponsor, First Horizon Bank, for their support and interest in small business.”

In addition to start-up assistance, the Oak Ridge TSBDC Office provides existing business assistance including, but not limited to: business growth planning, government contracting, social media strategy, international trade, and sources of capital.
