Senator Joey Hensley, R-Hohenwald, will retain an influential voice on some of the state’s most pressing issues with seats on the state’s finance, education and health committees at the 112th General Assembly.
Hensley was reappointed as Deputy Chairman of the Senate Finance, Ways and Means Committee, the Education Committee, and the Health and Welfare Committee.
“I appreciate Lt. Gov. McNally’s confidence in continuing to play this leadership role on our finance committee,” Hensley said in a statement to the Daily Herald.
“Tennessee is recognized as one of the best-managed states in the country. I look forward to working with my colleagues on a responsible budget that will maintain this status, while providing needed services to Tennesseans and strengthening our state’s COVID-19 recovery efforts.
