NASA’s Community College Network: SETI Institute and NASA Partner to Bring NASA Science Into Community Colleges Nationwide

The SETI Institute announces its new NASA Community College (NCCN) network. This innovative program will bring NASA subject matter experts, research findings, and educational resources to science classrooms across the nation’s community college system which, with nearly 1,200 2-year associate degree institutions, represents 12 million students.
“The NASA Science Activation Program brings NASA’s unparalleled STEM resources to schools, libraries and communities across the United States,” said Dr. Simon Steel, NCCN Principal Investigator. “The NCCN will amplify this reach at US community colleges, where many students from underserved groups begin their graduate studies.”
