MADISON (WKOW) – Josh Shaffer’s painters have been touching up buildings in the Madison area for a decade, but when the pandemic struck, Epic Painting had to find a new way of doing business.
“We were very worried,” said Shaffer, the owner. “We had no idea what it was going to look like. Would people let us into their homes? Were you okay? So we absolutely had to make sure we took all the necessary precautions as we went along and we definitely took a hit.
The Federal Paycheck Protection Program helped the team through that program, allowing Shaffer to keep all six full-time employees on the job, despite an initial loss of 65% of the business.
