LEE COUNTY, Fla – Sam Galloway Jr. died Wednesday in a hospice surrounded by his loving family.
Galloway was the youngest Ford dealer in the country when he took over Sam Galloway Ford in the 1970s from his father Sam Senior.
He made it one of the most successful Ford dealers in the Southeast.
His business was car sales, but his passion was his family and his community. He had a huge heart and supported many local charities including the Gulf Coast Humane Society and Community Cooperative Ministries, “The Soup Kitchen”.
Sam and a few friends started Community Cooperative Ministries when they realized some of their neighbors didn’t have enough to eat. He was determined to ensure that families in Lee County did not go hungry.
