PALATINE, Ill. (WLS) – Palatine resident and aspiring astronaut make Chicago proud.
Joseph Corso recently participated in Inspiration4, a competition to be one of four civilians on the upcoming Space-X flight.
Participants must create a business that benefits others.
He created a skin product to help amputees, like his firefighter dad who lost his leg last month.
“It’s an easy way to help people stay hydrated and take care of their skin,” Corso said. “With my father for example, when he had this amputation below the knee, his leg… it got very dry and to help it heal, I really wanted to make a product that could help him and so that was the perfect solution. “
Its profits go to St. Jude and Wounded Warrior.
