Has former Washington football president Bruce Allen turned on his old friend Dan Snyder?
It’s been over a year since Snyder fired Allen after 10 years on the job (read: leading the team in the ground). One of the most sparkling details from a Exclusive Front Office Sports report Monday – which chronicles court filings from Snyder’s libel lawsuit against Washington minority owner Dwight Schar – covers some of what Allen has been doing with his time since his dismissal in December 2019.
The Front Office Sports AJ Perez report describes that John Moag – founder of investment banking firm Moag & Company, which manages the sale of the minority stake in Washington owned by Fred Smith, Robert Rothman and Schar – has prior knowledge of an online smear campaign which Snyder claims to have been orchestrated by Schar.
According to Perez, Snyder claims that Schar carried out the “extortion campaign” in an attempt to force Snyder to sell his majority stake in the Washington football team.
