JONESBORO – Nettleton held a 13-point lead heading into the fourth quarter on Friday night, matching the margin the Raiders saw in the final period a week earlier in West Memphis.
They were not going to let this happen again.
Nettleton maintained a comfortable lead throughout the fourth quarter of a 73-64 victory over Batesville at Raider Gym, earning his first 5A-East conference victory of the season.
“We’re going to West Memphis and start the fourth quarter with 13 points. We entered this fourth quarter with 13 points as well, ”Nettleton assistant coach Matt Ragsdale said. “I would be lying to you if I said I didn’t feel a bit of that anxiety in this one, but we did a good job of shutting it down.”
