After being sidelined for nearly a year due to the coronavirus pandemic, the College of Marin’s athletic programs will soon be returning to play.
COM has opted for the “Spring 2” season, which includes baseball, beach volleyball, swimming and diving.
“Everyone has struggled during the COVID-19 pandemic,” COM athletic director Ryan Byrne said. “Our student-athletes were particularly challenged. They have spent years preparing for the opportunity to transfer to a four year facility and pursuing their passion and they have a very small window of time to show their abilities and have a chance to move on. This now gives our Spring 2 student-athletes a hope and optimism they haven’t had in almost a year.
The deadline to register was Friday.
