Erie County DOH describes the facility requirements for non-professional and non-college sporting events;  offers an update on vaccinations, quarantines

Sports: COVID-19 diagnostic test and notification to ECDOH staff included in updated “ New York Forward ” guidelines

The Erie County Department of Health and its Environmental Health Division provided several updates on Friday and Saturday.

Sports tournaments

The following requirements apply to non-professional, non-college sports tournaments that include teams traveling from outside the Western New York or Finger Lakes areas to Erie County. For all sports tournaments, including those listed in low, medium and high risk sports in the New York Forward Sports and Recreation Guide, all players / competitors and coaches from outside these regions must have a negative diagnostic COVID. -19 tests collected within 72 hours of the tournament. For teams in these regions, there are no diagnostic testing requirements.
