Emmanuel Acho, former NFL linebacker and Fox Sports analyst, has accepted the rose and will host “The Bachelor: After the Final Rose” next month.
Acho will host the postseason episode which airs on ABC on March 15 at 10 p.m. ET. It follows the show’s season finale starring bachelor Matt James, the first black man to play in the franchise. He played wide receiver for Wake Forest from 2011-14 and participated in the Carolina Panthers rookie minicamp in 2015.

Acho, 30, takes over from Chris Harrison, host of longtime ‘The Bachelor’ franchise, which is at the center of controversy for defending a race-insensitive social media post by a candidate. Harrison announced a few weeks ago that he would be “stepping down for a period of time” and not hosting the episode special after the season finale.
