Texas-Arlington closed Saturday game on a 9-0 run to defeat ASU 64-56 in the regular season finale. The Mavericks won in more Friday in a dramatic fashion as David Azore drilled a 3 point while being fouled with 1.1 left on the clock, adding the free throw to seal a 73-71 victory.
ASU were leading 56-55 before failing to score in the 4:23 final on Saturday. The Red Wolves were led by the Marquis Eaton with a game-high 15 points, while Norchad Omier narrowly missed his 14th double-double with nine points and a game-the best 11 rebounds.
