UNIONDALE, NY (AP) – Kris Letang scored his second goal for the game 4:34 after overtime, giving the Pittsburgh Penguins a 4-3 victory over the New York Islanders on Saturday night.
Sidney Crosby scored a goal and an assist for Pittsburgh, who won for the sixth time in eight games. Jared McCann also scored and Tristan Jarry made 24 saves as the Penguins beat the Islanders for the fourth time in five games this season.
At the end of the extra period, Letang returned the puck to the ice and fired a shot that took off from Jean-Gabriel Pageau’s stick, through the New York forward’s legs and into the upper left corner. It was the fourth of the season for Letang, all against the Islanders.
