Seeding the seed for the third time in the past four seasons, Loyola survived a visit from Southern Illinois University Carbondale 65-58 in overtime on Saturday night to give the Ramblers their 14th win of their last 15. games. The Ramblers (21-4 overall and 16-2 in MVC) also set an academic record for MVC wins.
The 2017-18 Ramblers won 15 championships games and went on to reach the NCAA Final Four this season.
