BATON ROUGE – The LSU men’s basketball team had two eight-run second-half innings, including one in the final four minutes, to come together to defeat a stubborn South Carolina team, 85-80, on Saturday night at the Pete Maravich Assembly Center.
The Tigers are now winners of four straight games, including the first two games of this three-game family, to move up to 10-2, 5-1 in the Southeastern Conference. South Carolina, playing for the first time since Jan.6, drops to 3-3, 1-1 in the league.
LSU now plays first place in Alabama Tuesday night at 8 p.m. on ESPN2 here at the Pete Maravich Assembly Center. The game will also be broadcast on affiliates of the LSU Sports Radio Network.
