With all the awards and accolades filling the sports section this week, I thought it would be nice to take a look at a few miscellaneous accolades that we haven’t yet been entitled to.
So, without wasting any more time – the title of the post is pretty self-explanatory – let’s move on to some other 2020 football honors from you.
Best game – Neville vs Ruston (38-35, 3OT)
Barely. Hardly that beat Vermilion Catholic and Ouachita Christian. And believe me, I can already hear some of you, “How did you get the season opener past a semi-final overtime game?”
It wasn’t an easy decision, but Neville and Ruston had everything you could ask for.
Come back? Check. Neville was leading 21-0 at halftime and leading 21-7 in the fourth quarter before Ruston miraculously forced overtime with three Tiger fumbles in the fourth …
