Mizzou wrestling returns home in Big 12 | Mizzou Sports News

The Big 12’s other wrestling affiliate members are Air Force, Northern Colorado, Northern Iowa, North Dakota State, South Dakota State, Utah Valley and Wyoming. Fresno State had been an affiliate member but disbanded its program after this past season. Cal-Baptist will join the Big 12 as an affiliate member at the end of its NCAA Division I transition period in 2022-23. The 12 wrestling programs take part in what the Big 12 calls “a regular-season scheduling alliance” followed by the Big 12 championship meet. Since 2017, the Big 12 has held its conference meet at Tulsa’s BOK Center, where it’s scheduled to stay through 2024. The last time Mizzou wrestling competed in the Big 12, Smith’s team won the 2012 conference tournament and has since won nine consecutive MAC conference tournaments and seven of the last eight regular-season MAC titles. Mizzou finished seventh at this year’s national meet in St. Louis and will have its entire lineup back for its return season in the Big 12.
