NFL Week 17 Power Rankings: Chiefs, Packers, same top two as opening week, Dolphins climb to No.9, Colts sink

The final week of the NFL season usually includes a bunch of meaningless games, but not this year.

Of the 16 games played on Sunday, only four games did not have any playoff involvement, whether it was a team trying to join in the fun or a team playing for a seed. That’s it.

That’s why this season has to be seen as a success, aside from the fact that the league will be in all 256 games of a pandemic, which is truly amazing. Some hate parity, but that’s a good thing for meaningful late-season football.

The AFC seed is established with the Kansas City Chiefs taking that spot, which still places them No.1 in my Power rankings. But they haven’t looked as dominant this season as they did in last year’s playoffs, which must …
