Now it will work on a stronger finish. The Nittany Lions jumped on Ball State early, scored touchdowns on its first two possessions, led 24-6 at halftime and were on cruise-control for the remainder of a glorious Saturday afternoon en route to a 44-13 win at Beaver Stadium.

The Lions did not commit a turnover and got two more interceptions, matching their total (four) from all of last season. The crowd chanted, “We want Auburn” late in the game and booed when Ball State twice called timeout in the last 10 seconds at the Penn State 12 and then the Lions’ 7, trying to score on its final two plays.
