Xfinity finalist disqualified for failing inspection

NASCAR disqualified Tyler Reddick’s second-place car for failing inspection after Saturday’s Xfinity Series race.

Reddick lost his lead to Myatt Snider in the second overtime restart and crossed the finish line second. NASCAR said Reddick’s RSS Racing car was disqualified for rear height defect.

Snider’s winning car passed inspection.

The disqualification means Brandon Jones is now credited with second place, Daniel Hemric will be third, Jeb Burton will be fourth and Austin Cindric will finish fifth.

NASCAR also announced that Josh Berry, AJ Allmendinger, Jeremy Clements and Jones cars each have an unsecured lug nut after the race. This will be a fine for the team leader of each team.
