A man from Spotsylvania was arrested on Friday after being charged with shooting a man in the arm outside a Stafford County auto parts store, police mentionned.
Christopher Aubrey Thomas, 36, is charged with malicious injury, use of a firearm in the commission of a felony and possession of a firearm as a criminal. He is being held at Rappahannock regional prison.
According to Stafford Sheriff’s Major Shawn Kimmitz, the incident took place around 5:30 p.m. in the automatic zone at 640 Warrenton Road in south Stafford. The male victim and three acquaintances had come to the business to purchase auto parts when Thomas showed up. Thomas had previously had a relationship with a woman in the victim’s vehicle, police mentionned.
