GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) – The state is ordering a Grand Rapids-based retailer to stop selling clothing online after numerous customer complaints.
Michigan Attorney General Dana Nessel’s office said it sent a cease and desist letter to Fitness Tee Co. LLC for allegedly violating Michigan consumer protection law. The retailer operates at least two online stores: Fitness Tee Co. and Fitness Tee Co. Outlet.
Customers told the attorney general’s office that the company did not fulfill orders in a timely manner and that the clothes they received were of lower quality than expected. The buyers also said they could not reach anyone at the company to address their concerns or obtain the requested refund.
