Nearly half of Wisconsin manufacturers say their business remains down, according to the results of a new survey released Thursday by Wisconsin Manufacturing Extension Partnership (WMEP) Manufacturing Solutions, a nonprofit manufacturing consulting firm that is address to small and medium-sized state manufacturers.
The survey found that 22% of manufacturers said their business was “significantly” down from a typical year, and 17% said their business was still “somewhat down”.
Only 8% of respondents said business was “down sharply,” a marked improvement from October, while 18% of manufacturers still reported sharp declines in revenue.
On the other hand, almost 40% of manufacturers said their business was increasing to some extent.
