In this news, we discuss the American Airlines to offer app detailing pandemic-related travel requirements.
(Reuters) – American Airlines Group Inc said on Thursday that it will offer its customers a mobile app starting November 18 to display the COVID-19 testing and documentation requirements for their destination.
The app, VeriFLY, from software company Daon, enables real-time verification of COVID-19-related credentials, such as diagnostic lab test results, and aims to streamline the registration process and checking in at the airport.
“Piloting this new solution is a direct response to our customers’ growing desire to explore more international travel opportunities,” President Robert Isom said in a statement.
After verifying that the traveler data matches the country requirements, the app displays a pass or fail message.
The app will be launched for flights from the US hub from Miami to Jamaica.
