Apple has added a new method for purchasing an iPhone in the US

Apple today announced a new service called “Buy with an Expert over Video” that allows US consumers looking to buy a new iPhone to connect with a member of a retail team via a live video stream. Consumers will be able to ask questions and buy iPhones in a “safe and secure one-way video shopping session.” During this session, interested buyers can request to see the latest models, compare features, and have an Apple expert answer their questions.

In the video stream, consumers can learn about trade-in offers, US carrier offers, financial plans, and how to easily switch from Android to iOS. Karen Rasmussen, Head of Online Retail at Apple, said: “We are constantly innovating to provide an even more personalized experience for our customers, responding to their needs for what to offer. Apple’s best. With Video Pro Shopping, our team members are excited to connect with customers and deliver exceptional service by discovering which iPhone is right for them.”

“Shop with a Video Expert” is available daily from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. PDT (10:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. East Coast). To open the video stream, go to apple.com/shop/buy-iphone or tap this link. While you can see Apple team members through the video feed, they won’t be able to see you. If a video session isn’t available, or you’re trying to access an after-hours service, you can always connect with an Apple team member via phone call or 24-hour chat.

As Apple states, “Whether in person, online, via video, or through personalized recommendations on the Apple Store app, Apple team members can help customers select devices and funding options. suitable for them.”
