Canva is introducing a ton of new features, including a suite of AI-powered tools and a new branded hub. The company announced new features and tools today at the Canva Create virtual event.
The company has launched an assistant that allows users to search for design elements and quickly access features. The tool can also recommend graphics and styles to match your existing design. The assistant provides quick access to AI-powered design tools such as Magic Write, his AI-powered copywriter assistant for the platform that launched in December. Starting today, Magic Write is available for all Canva project types, from presentations to social media graphics, flyers and more. Prior to this expansion, Magic Write was only available in Canva Docs.
Magic Write can be used to write website copy and presentation summaries. For example, you can ask Magic Write to list social media strategy ideas for a new product launch. The tool considers the type of project you’re working on when suggesting copies. In addition to expanded availability, Canva has announced that Magic Write is now available in 18 languages.
Canva also introduced a new way to automatically generate presentations. You can ask your editor to create a series of presentations with outlines and content on each slide. As for designs, the company’s new “Magic Design” tool allows users to upload an image and then choose a style from a curated selection of customizable and personalized templates.
There’s also a new “Magic Edit” feature that lets you add or replace anything in your image. You can pinpoint where you want to add something and write it with Magic Edit. The new “Magic Eraser” feature lets you swipe over areas to clean up unwanted details in your image.
Canva also introduces ‘Beat Sync’, which automatically matches your video footage to the soundtrack of your choice, and the new ‘Translate’ feature, which automatically translates the text in your designs into over 100 different languages. .
In addition to new AI-powered tools, Canva is introducing a number of new features that users have reportedly requested.
First, the company is launching Draw, which lets you sketch simple shapes like circles and then turn them into sophisticated circles. The new Layouts feature allows users to add content to their pages and get recommendations for theme layout ideas. Styles, on the other hand, allows the user to browse his palette and fonts for suggested colors.
