CES panel explores new space technologies and research

The next generation of space exploration is coming, and with it the next generation of space research and technology.

Space represents an extraordinary opportunity for research and development, and the International Space Station continues to play an important role in how microgravity conditions can help humans better understand space and their own world.

CNN space reporter Rachel Crane hosted a CES panel on Wednesday that probed these topics.

The station’s astronauts conduct 24-hour experiments at the station, ranging from cellular, physical and material science, said Serena Auñón-Chancellor, a NASA astronaut and physician who spent nearly 200 days in 2018 as only American on the space station.
