BEIJING / SHENZHEN, China (Reuters) – China SZ DJI Technology Co, the world’s largest drone maker, is putting together an engineering team to work on autonomous driving technologies, depending on the roles and people familiar with the company’s strategy.

Shenzhen-based company hires engineers for automotive electronics, autonomous driving and on-board software, posts job openings on its site Web.
Three people said DJI plans to sell driver assistance technologies such as lidar sensors, a key component of self-driving cars, and packaged solutions for autonomous driving functions.
