Students on the Greenville Technical College Campus | Photo provided
2020 has been a challenge for many students at Greenville Technical College.
- Last year, 56% of students experienced at least one form of insecurity related to basic needs (housing, food, etc.).
- 50% of students are considered low income.
When students cannot graduate, it affects their lives and the community as they cannot become the skilled employees who drive our local businesses forward.
How can I help you? With donations to Greenville Tech Foundation. $ 300 can be all it takes to keep a student on track to graduate and get a new career, achieve economic mobility + completely change a family’s trajectory.
In 2020, the Foundation distributed $ 55,477 to 165 students for emergency needs. These emergency funds helped them pay the rent, get gas, buy groceries, save water and pay electricity bills. Helping in these emergencies keeps students on track with their education and achieving their goals, potentially helping employers meet hiring needs. ?
