The DoT Wireless Planning Commission issued an e-commerce advisory in 2019 for the sale of network boosters in an unauthorized manner.
The DoT on his site Web posted a public notice asking people not to install unauthorized mobile signal boosters. “The general public is informed that anyone should not establish, maintain, work, process or deal with unauthorized wireless transmission devices such as unauthorized mobile signal boosters, as this is a punishable offense in accordance with provisions of the Indian Wireless Telegraph Act of 1933 and the Indian Telegraph Act. 1885 ”, said the public notice. He added that the use of unauthorized mobile signal boosters creates interference in telecommunications networks and thus deteriorates the quality of service for telecommunications service providers and therefore mobile phone users.
